Dr. Sufian Mahmoud

Dr. Sufian is a proud New Jersey native who graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors from Rutgers University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Criminal Justice. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the prestigious Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.
He completed an externship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UMDNJ and pursued advanced training through a comprehensive general practice residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center – St. Barnabas Health. There, Dr. Sufian gained extensive experience in restorative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery, training under the mentorship of internationally acclaimed specialists.
Dr. Sufian is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM), the nation’s leading certifying body for dentists treating snoring and obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy. Achieving Diplomate status represents a distinguished level of clinical expertise and dedication to the field of dental sleep medicine.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sufian serves as a part-time faculty member at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where he is committed to mentoring future dental professionals. He remains actively engaged in ongoing professional development, completing extensive continuing education both nationally and internationally each year.
With a clinical focus on cosmetic and sports-related dental trauma, Dr. Sufian is credentialed by the Academy for Sports Dentistry and proudly serves as the official team dentist for the New York Jets of the National Football League.
Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Sufian treasures time with his wife and their young daughter.
