Academic Background and Expertise

Dr. Mohamed BoukheirDr. Boukheir earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from the prestigious Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He then completed a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) residency in one of the most sought out programs in the country, John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County.  The program is the first oral surgery program and has one the busiest trauma centers in the country.

Dr. Boukheir’s extensive training enabled him to acquire all of the required skills and techniques to further his enthusiasm for dental implants and performed a wide range of surgical treatments, such as facial trauma,  jaw corrective surgeries, ablative as well as reconstructive surgeries for benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck .

Dr. Boukheir is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, a designation that represents the highest level of training and expertise in his field.

Experience and Advanced Treatments

Dr. Boukheir specializes in full mouth reconstruction and dental implant surgery, providing solutions for patients with missing or damaged teeth. His expertise extends to advanced surgical procedures, including complex Bone Grafts, Sinus Lifts, and Zygomatic Implants. As an attestation to his skill, Dr. Boukheir places over a thousand dental implants each year and has successfully performed over 1,000 full arches and all-on-4 treatments.

When he’s not performing procedures, Dr. Boukheir spends his time as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  Dr. Boukheir is also part of St. Joseph’s oral and maxillofacial surgery program where he takes call and teaches the OMFS residents.

Dr. Boukheir believes that teaching is a great way to give back to the community that provided him with the tools that he needed to succeed. Through his years of experience, Dr. Boukheir continues to lead the next generation of aspiring dental professionals.
